Mount Baker Adventure Sessions

All of us that have been lucky enough to live or visit Washington State can attest that summertime here is just glorious. Not only there is an infinite list of outdoor activities and places to explore, but also we can add days with gorgeous stretched daylight. If you have never been to this latitude, you might be surprised that the sun will still be up in the sky past 9 pm!
What does that mean for your summer plans? Lots of time to find an adventure in the great PNW. Something that makes me extra eager about summer is offering my adventure sessions to Mount Baker. The Mount is located on the west side of the Cascades between the Canadian border and the North Cascades National Park. This park has plenty of hiking trails that will take you to the most spectacular mountain meadows and breathtaking mountain peak views.
Although some of the trails are open year-round, there is a specific location where I offer my portrait sessions. The trail is open from mid-July to early September (is closed when there the first snowfall of the year occurs).
The hiking trail is well defined with gravel paths and rock steps. Some moderate hiking is involved (total distance of about .5miles each way). I always allow plenty of time for my clients to hike with me without feeling rushed. All sessions take place 1.5 hours prior to Sunset. Depending on the weather forecast, sunrise sessions might be an option as well.
