In-studio newborn session

Three and a half years ago, I made the decision to become a newborn photographer. Little did I know that three years later, clients would be traveling from out of town to bring me their babies for their newborn session!

I won’t lie: when I get customers from as far as Seattle and all cities that surround Whidbey Island (where my studio is currently located), my heart burst out of excitement. This gorgeous little one featured on this blog post came from Marysville, WA.

After many training courses, some under the best instructors in the industry, I am so proud to be doing what I love to do. There is no bigger honor than welcoming families from all over Washington State bringing their newborn bundle of joy to be photographed by me.

Regardless of where you come from, my ultimate goal is to provide you with a high-quality product and a personalized session. Every baby is special and unique, and I strive to show that when I create my setups and ultimately in the resulting art products from each session.

I will chat with you in advance to see if you have any specific vision for your session, such as color palette requests, a specific prop from my collection that you would like me to use, etc. In the end, what I like to make sure is that I capture timeless portraits that won’t “age” in time.

Speaking of timeless, when choosing a newborn photographer, you want to make sure that said person has all the necessary knowledge and safety training to handle newborns. I won’t get into the details about newborn safety because I will dedicate a post exclusively to talk about that topic.

The second most important thing is to make sure is that your photographer fits your photography style.

I strive to present my pictures with color-rich edits. My hope is that the portraits that you receive are not only of high quality but also timeless. I want that all the products that you take home become heirlooms that can be treasured and admired by the generations to come!

Are you on the fence about “making the trip” or investing in a newborn session with me?

Let me tell you, with newborn photography, you get a relatively small window of time. Within the first four weeks, the baby will put on some weight and stretch in length. Their features will start changing rapidly. That is the beauty and why this type of session is so special: is like encapsulating a time in the life of a baby that can never be repeated.

Whidbey Island offers a wide variety of opportunities to enjoy local food and beautiful places to connect with nature. There is something to do in every season! So, if you are coming from out of town, I would be happy to offer some suggestions so you can do a little more after visiting me for your baby’s newborn session.

If you want to learn more about the different newborn session packages that I have to offer, I am just one message away. I am looking forward to meeting your family and your little one.
